About this cottage
The Casa Poncha is a typical Madeiran house of 100 m² on 2 floors, recently renovated. It has 3 bedrooms (7 sleeping). It is ideal for family holidays or friends' getaways. Its large 'caleçada' (volcanic stone) terrace ~40 m² serves the entire ground floor, as well as a private terrace for the red bedroom on the upper floor.
The terrace is partially vegetated with passion fruit vines; we opted for a solid roof over the garden furniture area for maximum enjoyment. It offers a stunning ocean view. A large garden with sun loungers is also available opposite your rental.
The house has its own entrance and private barbecue. Parking is shared with all cottages.

Name story
Poncha refers to a famous punch reimagined in the Madeiran style. You will find it in every bar on the island, composed of ½ aguardente (sugar cane brandy), ¼ freshly squeezed lemon juice & ¼ honey.
